Where required by the fire code official or the prefire plan established in accordance with Section 3308.3, a fire watch shall be provided for building demolition and for building construction that is hazardous in nature, such as temporary heating or hot work. 3304.5.1Fire watch during construction. WebFire Watch personnel must meet the criteria of a competent person as defined under the Ontario Occupational Health & Safety Act and receive Fire Watch training. All MPS Fire Watch Guards receive Fire Watch training under the guidelines established by The National Fire Protection Association, Life Safety Code NFPA 101.
